Byfleet Parish Day *now cancelled*

14th July 2023 Leave a Comment Filed Under: Featured, News

It is with deepest regret that due to the current weather warnings of winds in excess of 50mph and potential thunder storms on Saturday, 15th July, we have had to cancel this year’s Byfleet Parish Day due to the implications this has for health and safety and insurance issues. This is a decision that was not taken lightly as this event has never been cancelled before because of weather.

We had considered postponing to a date later this year (most likely September) but cannot book the Recreation Ground then, so have decided this event must be postponed until next summer.

We thank you all for your support and trust you understand why we have had to do this. We hope stallholders will carry their bookings over to next summer. The Horticulture and Homecrafts Show which is taking place in the Village Hall will still go ahead.

On behalf of our Committee, I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Nick Bradshaw
