River Water Quality Advisory – Wey at Byfleet

27th July 2025 1 Comment Filed Under: News

Regular water testing for E. coli in the Wey at Byfleet has picked up high results (3700 and 3067 cfu/mL respectively in the last two weeks) since the recent rain.

The recommended acceptable level in the UK for safe swimming in rivers is less than 1000 cfu/mL.

Please be cautious about allowing children or dogs to enter the water.
