Woking Volunteer and Young Volunteer of the Year Awards 2017

5th June 2017 Leave a Comment Filed Under: News

Greenoak’s third Volunteer of the Year Awards competition launches this month to find Woking’s extra special unsung heroes. These awards recognise the fantastic contributions so many volunteers make to people’s lives in Woking Borough.

The ‘Woking Volunteer of the Year’ and ‘Woking Young Volunteer of the Year’ Awards  will be presented at the WWF’s Living Planet Centre, Brewery Road, Woking on 6 July.

With special guests: Jonathan Lord, MP of Woking, and the Woking Mayor Elect, Councillor Graham Cundy.

The Winners will receive cheques of £2,500 and £1,000 respectively for their charities as well as a personal gift, and four runners up will also receive cheques of £500 for their organisations.  Every charity that enters will have the opportunity to set up an exhibition and network with peers on the WWF’s stunning balcony.

Further details of the competition will be available on Greenoak’s web site http://www.greenoakha.org/news.html. Alternatively, guidance notes can be found here.
