Dulux Trade London Revolution 13th & 14th May 2017

8th May 2017 1 Comment Filed Under: Featured, News

The Dulux Trade London Revolution will be taking place this coming weekend, 13th to 14th May, with cyclists coming through Pyrford and West Byfleet on Saturday.

The event is a two-day leisure cycle ride (not a competitive race) around London and environs. It is 185 miles in total, starting and finishing at Lee Valley Athletics Centre and with an overnight stop at Windsor Racecourse. There will be approximately 1600 participants riding each day.

Each day will have a start window of between 06:45 – 08:45 and will finish by 7pm so all well within daylight hours. The riders are set-off from the start of each day in groups of around 30 at intervals, so as to minimise the footprint on the road network.

This year the event sees the addition of the Revolution Ultra, where 50 cyclists will be riding the entire 185 miles in one day, starting and finishing at Windsor Racecourse – using the same route as the two day package.

For more details about Saturday’s route, please visit this link.

For the Revolution Ultra route (also taking place on Saturday), please visit this link.

Why not get out there and cheer the riders on?

Great idea but being a resident in the area of west Byfleet I’m not impressed by some of the riders thinking it’s ok to ride 4/5 abreast and therefore literally halting local traffic in the area. Would suggest riders are reminded that roads have not been closed to traffic!!!
